Meet the Mayfarers

Mr. Depew got his start in community theatre with such notable parts as Matthew Brady in “Inherit the Wind” and Robert in “Proof” and about a dozen more. He has two EMACT awards to his credit. He has also done several commercials and Independent films. Some Film credits include “Norma’s Scent” and “Terminal Conversation.” Both films did very well winning at several Film festivals. To date he has about 20 independent films to his credit as an actor and is currently directing and writing the feature film “27 Down.” Even though he owns a very successful Medical Billing Company, John defines success by how much you enjoyed the journey rather than just the goals achieved. Once asked his key to success he replied, “it is my God given ability to recognize and find talented individuals and let them create”.

maggie still 2 Candace Hopkins (“Maggie”)

Born to perform, Candace first appeared in her basement as the Sugar Plum Fairy at the age of 3.  From there she moved onto playing Abe Lincoln’s seamstress in the 2nd grade play and singing the solo “Inch Worm” in the 3rd grade show.  After a few years of concentrating on sports, Candace found her way back to the theater in junior high school and has been acting, singing, and dancing ever since. Favorite stage roles include Bananas in House of Blue Leaves, Kate in Brighton Beach Memoirs, Flora in 27 Wagons Full of Cotton, Princess Winnifred in Once Upon a Matress and Frauline Schneider in Cabaret. Her film work includes Blown Away, Mermaids, Housesitter, and various commercials and industrial videos.  Working on The Mayfarers has been, “an incredibly fun adventure.”


Jenna Paone (“Claire”)

Jenna is an accomplished singer/songwriter who plays in the greater Boston area. Her work can be found at She is also a playwright, whose play, “My Unfortunate Looking Co-worker” was staged off-off Broadway in 2008.

Jessica has acted in the feature films “27 Down” and “Tricks of a Woman.” She has also appeared in Playboy, and was a “Top Model of 2008.” She can currently be seen on Hollywood Buzz Tv.

Michael has worked for several companies in the Boston area including the Huntington theater, and Central Stage. He has also acted in the Thriller feature film, “Blackwater Farm.”

Jeffrey Gitelle’s recent credits include Airshaft Man in Melissa James Gibson’s {SIC), produced by the Devanaughn Theatre in Boston; ‘Brent’ in PSFilm’s ‘Gary’s Gold and ‘Harvey’ in “Breakfast with Harvey” at the Dragonfly Festival. Jeffrey is also featured in the short film ‘New Stepmom’ that debuted at the SF Independent Film Festival in 2006. Regionally, Jeffrey has appeared at Trinity Rep in Maria Irene Fornes’ ‘And what of the Night?’ which she also directed.

Bob has been acting his whole life. In addition “Meet the Mayfarers” Bob worked on the feature film, “The Wayfarers” playing Earl Wayfarer. In the past, he has acted in Frank Foster’s “How the Other Half Lives” as well as “Sofia and Saul’s Wedding” which he performed with members of “The Wayfarers” cast.


Paul Patrick Murphy (“Porter Mayfarer”)

Over the past 15 years Paul Patrick Murphy has performed in live stage productions, too many to mention along with countless film projects both professional as well as independent projects. He also has extensive actors training. He has been to the  “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” as well as several times to the “Late Show with David Letterman”. He says that he has been most noticed by the general public due to his many “head shots” in countless post offices around the country as well as Puerto Rico and other U.S. protected territories.”

JESSICA WEBB Regional Theatre Credits Include: Lizzie in The Rainmaker,  Stella A Streetcar Named Desire, Greta in Witness for the Prosecution, and Sister James in Doubt (all with Foothills Theatre); Mary in It’s a Wonderful Life (Stoneham Theatre); Abigail/Elizabeth in The Crucible (New Rep On Tour); Wating… (New England Fringe Festival); Anaiis Nin Goes to Hell and Beautiful American Soldier (Boston Theatre Works Unbound); Outed and Ritz Rendezvous (Boston Theatre Marathon); The $30,000 Bequest and The Dressing Room (Organic Theatre Company); Cinderella, Amadeus and Jake’s Women (Nomad Theatre Company); and The $30,000 Bequest (Moscow Art Theatre). Film Credits: Inspiration, The Proposal and Mallcop. Jessica holds her BFA from Northern Illinois University’s Meisner Training program and received a Certificate of Completion from the Moscow Art Theatre School. She has previously taught for Stoneham Theatre’s Resident Youth Ensemble, as well as the Denver Center Theatre Academy.
